LOSSES OF COMMISSIONED OFFICERS IN THE GREAT PLAINS,

1863-1865

This list includes all (that I know of) officers and sergeants who were killed, wounded or died of disease during the great indian war in the plains, from Sibley`s campaing in 1863 till summer 1865. The officer losses have been omitted if they happened while campaigning against confederates. Only the losses that were caused by the war, or effected it, have been included. I recently made my thesis in the university of Tampere about US army in the plains during the civil war, and got the information used here from my own research.
